Content Policy

Section 1: Purpose

This Content Policy defines what content is and is not allowed on Drift Gallery. It applies to all content types: images, avatars, Recipes, Blueprints, comments, usernames, display names, and profile bios. Violations are enforced per our Terms of Service.

Section 2: Allowed Content

  • AI-generated artwork created with any tool (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Flux, ComfyUI, DALL-E, etc.)
  • Fan art and derivative work (with appropriate disclaimers about original IP)
  • Concept art and visual development work
  • Prompt recipes and style guides for any supported AI art tool
  • Workflow breakdowns, technique documentation, and creative process content

Section 3: Prohibited Images (Blocked at Upload)

All image uploads are automatically scanned. The following are blocked:

  • All nudity, including artistic nudity
  • Sexual content of any kind
  • Graphic violence and gore
  • Weapons as the primary subject
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance

Section 4: Prohibited Content (Removed if Reported)

  • Photorealistic depictions of real people without consent (deepfakes)
  • Hate speech, hate symbols, or content promoting discrimination
  • Spam or non-AI-generated content misrepresented as AI art
  • Unmodified copyrighted material

Section 5: Acceptable Names Policy

Usernames and display names must not contain: profanity or slurs, sexual or violent terms, impersonation of others (users, public figures, brands, AI tool companies), trademarks used misleadingly, URLs or contact information, or terms implying official authority ("official," "verified," "admin," "staff").

Section 6: Comment and Bio Rules

Comments and profile bios must not contain: hate speech, harassment, threats, personal attacks, spam, doxxing, sexually explicit language, solicitation for external services, or malicious URLs.

Section 7: Recipe and Blueprint Text Rules

Recipe text content (prompts, tool instructions, style guides) and Blueprint text content (prompts, notes, descriptions) must not contain: hate speech, malicious URLs, doxxing, instructions for generating prohibited content, or deliberately misleading information about the product's capabilities or tool compatibility.

Section 8: Why We Prohibit Nudity and Violence

  • Stripe, our payment processor, prohibits certain adult content. Violation risks termination of the platform's payment processing.
  • The distinction between "artistic" and "sexual" nudity is too subjective to enforce consistently at scale.
  • A clean content policy makes the platform brand-safe and welcoming to a wider range of artists.
  • AI-generated nude imagery of real people is increasingly illegal in many jurisdictions.

Section 9: Enforcement

  • First minor violation: content removed, creator notified
  • Second violation or first serious violation: content removed, formal warning
  • Third violation or egregious first offense: account suspension
  • CSAM, credible threats, illegal content: immediate permanent ban
